Turin & the “Circles in Life“
It all begins with an idea.
Four framed paintings made their way to Italy, for an exhibition in Turin at ArtGallery 37 in May 2019. I followed them for the Private View at the exciting group exhibition. Inspired by a dropped pebble sending far reaching ripples, the Circles in Life artworks explore human existence and our links to circles and the wheel of life. Signifying eternity, love, unity and life itself, the circle is a symbol of humanity, as in nature is the earth, moon and sun. Each unique pebble within the artwork, with their own texture and form, echoes our individuality as human beings. Just as dancers form a circle, to express strength or joy, the stones are depicted in a free flowing ring. Each as an individual, but, as a cluster their fortitude gathers. The pebble rings are reflections of what it is to be human, finding our place in the world.
